Uses

·               SEE the actual floor plan prior to investing in the trade.

The ability to see the floor plan will improve your ability to properly value the trade.  Since the appraisal guides use a straight-line depreciation schedule, no value is attributed to the popularity of the floor plan. Many customers do not remember their model designation or its actual length. Many manufacturers do not accurately identify the actual length in their model designation.  The Floorplan Trader will help you KNOW the correct information.

Do you have multiple units with similar floor plans that are aged?  The Floorplan Trader will help you prevent purchasing additional pre-owned units of problem floor plans.  The trade “value” can be raised or lowered depending upon your judgment of the popularity of the floor plan.

·               Email your Pre-Owned floor plans to prospective customers.

Many customers call in or email their wishes and needs.  You can now respond with the actual floor plans that you have for sale.  Your sales people can even pre-sell an incoming unit by taking a picture of the floor plan and emailing it to their leads.

·               Copy the floor plan of the trade so that the sales force can have on file the incoming trade floor plans for new customers who arrive daily.

Your sales force can personalize the selling process by having your used inventory floor plans in each of their sales information folders for their prospective customers to view.

·               Post your pre-owned floor plans on your website.

The more information that you can place on your web page, the more time your prospective customers are shopping on YOUR web site, acquiring more information about your products rather than moving to a competitor’s web page.   As we are learning, the age of Internet shopping has arrived and will become an even bigger force for marketing our products.

·               Use copies of the scan for a "Pre-Owned Product Board" in the lobby to allow the customers to preview your used inventory.

Many “open inventory” dealers have pre-owned picture boards in their lobbies.  The addition of the floor plan with the picture of the unit will assist the customer with the selection process.  This should help reduce your “sales tour guide time”.

·               Attach a picture of the floor plan to the deal file of the used unit. (Remember how many times we trade the same unit over and over again?)

When one of your customers return to trade up their used unit, you will have the ability to have the floor plan in the original deal jacket to help expedite the purchasing process.

·               Copy and paste from the CD to an email to your advertising media.

Many dealers use several types of advertising media to market their pre-owned inventory.  The Floorplan Trader gives you the ability to include a floor plan picture when you are marketing on your web site, in your local paper or on EBay Motors, the RV Trader or even to your wholesaler.  This ability will save valuable time and increase your profit potential.

·               Parts and Service uses.

Your service department can use this book or CD to send a picture of the floor plan along with a parts order to help identify the location of a damaged cushion, curtain, valance, window blind, cabinet door, etc.  This will help to avoid those costly re-ship freight bills and provide faster customer service.

How many times have you ordered a part that was incorrect and had to be reordered…?  More than once?  You can place an arrow on the scan of the floor plan in the precise area illustrating which part you need for your customer.  This helps to alleviate misunderstanding between you and the manufacturer or parts supplier.

·               Make your own Used Inventory Flyers

See our Flyer product below.  Having The Floorplan Trader images allows you to produce your own flyers if you have the IT capability in your dealership.  This is a labor intensive process so be sure to price in your labor cost with overheads and compare to our special pricing.

·               Profitability and Professionalism

If managed correctly, the pre-owned segment of the RV Industry produces the highest margins in our business.  The best dealers are turning their used product investment over 5 turns a year with margins well over 20%.

Just like the automobile industry of years ago, most of us knew the details of each and every car or truck.  This was true in the RV Industry 20 years ago.  Today there are just too many versions of floor plans and brands for us to know products other than the new models that we sell.  Even then, remembering all the current new model floor plans becomes a challenge today.

Knowledge is KING and The Floorplan Trader can improve your access to knowledge and exemplify a high level of professionalism in your business.

Enjoy and improve your profits using this exciting new tool.
